Brigadier General Carlos F. Quita took his oath of office last 19 January 2021 as the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA)’s Deputy Director General for Administration and Finance, thus completing the three Deputy Directors General position provided for ARTA by the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act 11032. His oath taking was facilitated by Director General Jeremiah Belgica.
Brig. Gen. Quita was appointed into office by the President last January 8, 2021 and will be assuming office in February. He is a retired military officer, having served for 34 years until 2013. Prior to his appointment as ARTA’s third Deputy Director General, he is the Executive Vice President for Corporate Services of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority. He has also been lecturing within and outside of the Armed Forces of the Philippines on a variety of discipline such as defense and security, public administration, public policy and management, leadership, and project management, among others.
“We welcome Deputy Director General Quita aboard the train of reform. The completion of the positions in ARTA means that we are now even more equipped to go full steam ahead in streamlining government processes and combatting red tape”, expressed Director General Belgica.
The ARTA chief also facilitated the oath taking of the Directors for the Compliance Monitoring and Evaluation Office and the Administration and Finance, and of nine newly appointed lawyers who will be designated in the regional offices of ARTA in the future.
