22 September 2022 – The Anti-Red Tape Authority would like to thank the the House of Representatives (HoR) for swiftly approving the Authority’s budget during the first day of deliberations.

The Authority is grateful to the honorable legislative body for its expression of support for increasing the budget of ARTA. This is critical to the our mandate as we continue and effectively implement the programs that would strengthen the country’s competitiveness and ease of doing business.

As such, we would want to commend and express our gratitude to ARTA’s sponsor, AKOBICOL Representative Hon. Raul Angelo “Jil” D. Bongalon, for championing and advocating the relevance of the agency for the fulfillment of the priority goals set by the Marcos administration. This will elicit collaboration and support from various government institutions and key sectors of society and increase public awareness of ARTA’s mandate. With this, ARTA is optimistic that our unified efforts will eventually attract more investors to sustain the government’s economic recovery efforts.

We also thank Rep. Paul R. Daza of the 1st District of Northern Samar, Rep. Filemon Espares of the COOP-NATCCO Partylist, and Rep. Sergio Dagooc of the APEC Partylist for your encouragement and support in further strengthening our mandate to address the country’s bureaucratic concerns. We will keep pushing forward with our efforts to streamline and reengineer the processes of key sectors to eliminate the unnecessary burden placed on the stakeholders and transacting public. All these are consistent with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr.’s eight-point socioeconomic program, which has consistently emphasized bureaucratic efficiency.

The funding for ARTA will be effectively utilized, helping not only the government agencies we’re working with to streamline and reengineer their processes but also the business sector, and more importantly the Filipino people, through more a streamlined and expedited transactions with the government.
