21 July 2022 – The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), in partnership with the Aboitiz Group, unveiled its streamlining program Pinas Bilis, an end-to-end assistance for target national government agency and local government unit beneficiaries.
With the tagline “Quick, Responsive, and Citizen-Centric Government Service,” the end-to-end assistance will be done from streamlining government processes of target NGAs and LGUs through empowerment activities to service delivery which involves donation of hardware.
The said trainings are intended to equip target NGAs and LGUs with the needed competencies to streamline their processes.
Five trainings under Pinas Bilis are being rolled out to 13 NGAs and 10 LGUs this mid 2022 to early 2023, benefitting about 250 civil servants at no cost to the government.
The five trainings include Business Process Improvement Toolbox, Data Management and Analytics, Agile Project Management, RIA Training, and Customer Service Delivery, among others.
The Aboitiz Group also provided five scholarship grants for the first batch of students taking the master’s degree programs in public administration with an emphasis on Regulatory Management System (RMS) and Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA).
The said scholarship grants are part of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between ARTA and the Aboitiz Group at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City on 31 May 2022.
Under the service delivery part of the assistance, beneficiaries of the electronic business one-stop shop (eBOSS) package shall be from the trained NGAs and LGUs to ensure that the knowledge gained from the trainings will be applied to their day-to-day operations.
ARTA Officer-in-Charge and Undersecretary Ernesto V. Perez thanked the Aboitiz Group, headed by newly appointed Chairman of the Private Sector Advisory Council Sabin Aboitiz, for partnering with the Authority.
“We thank the Aboitiz Group, one of ARTA’s private sector partners that has really been instrumental to our growth as an agency,” he said.
“We hope that this new assistance program will pave the way for more collaborations between the public and private sectors geared toward our shared dream of a smarter and better Philippines,” he added.
