16 November 2021 – The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) and its Director General, Secretary Jeremiah Belgica, received back-to-back awards from two government agencies.

On 11 November 2021, the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) included Sec. Belgica in its roster of 2021 Awardees.

VACC awarded the ARTA chief “in recognition of his remarkable service to the Filipino people through his judicious and professional dispensation of duties and responsibilities of the Anti-Red Tape Authority.”

“The efficient management of the Agency, the ease of doing business and the streamlining of national policy have contributed overall to the public good,” the agency said during its 23rd Founding Anniversary.

The next day, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) hailed ARTA as one of its Ease of Doing Business Champions in its 85th Founding Anniversary and Recognition Ceremony.

ARTA was granted the award for its support to the SEC’s Ease of Doing Business reforms, that led to “significant improvements” in Starting a Business and Protecting Minority Investors.

Sec. Belgica thanked the two government agencies for recognizing ARTA’s work and vowed that there will be no let up in the agency’s campaign against red tape.

“I would like to thank VACC and SEC in behalf of all of us in ARTA. We pray that our agency continues to grow to be the blessing and force of change that it was intended to be in our generation, especially in our bureaucracy. As the first ever ARTA chief, I am very blessed to have such competent, idealistic, and passionate young teammates in ARTA. Sila po ang magpapatuloy ng laban natin sa red tape na sinimulan ng ating Pangulong Duterte,” he said.

“Rest assured that ARTA will continue to push for reforms, weed out burdensome processes, and hold people propagating red tape in government offices to account,” he added.
