13 January 2021 – With the recently concluded inspection of the business one-stop shops or BOSS of Valenzuela City and Caloocan City today, the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) had already inspected nine out of the 17 local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila.
As with its previous inspections, the ARTA team checked on the important requirements and features that are expected from the BOSS and will be submitting its formal assessment and recommendations to the LGUs. In reiteration of yesterday’s press release, after its inspections of all Metro Manila LGUs, ARTA will be tallying the individual performance of LGUs based on the criteria and will be ranking them in terms of their compliance with the Ease of Doing Business Law and ARTA’s other issuances.
ARTA will continue to air its spot inspections of the remaining LGUs live on its official Facebook page in the following days for the purpose of informing the public of the actual state of affairs during this ongoing business registration and renewal period.
Yesterday, ARTA and the city government of Valenzuela also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the streamlining of the LGUs processes through the ARTA package which includes the designation of a committee on anti-red tape (CART), adoption of ARTA compliance measures, capacity building, business one-stop-shop, and the activation of the local board of assessment appeals.
