The Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) earned the praise of Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) Director General Jeremiah Belgica for its state-of-the-art design to cater services to the public.
DG Belgica visited the PNP BOSS at Camp Crame, Quezon City yesterday to renew his License-to-Own and Possess Firearm (LTOPF).
“I just want to congratulate the team of Maj. Gen. Hinanay, Lt. Col Dimayuga, and the entire team of FEO or Firearms and Explosive Office of the PNP for coming up with this very user-friendly and citizens-centric business one-stop-shop dito sa Camp Crame,” he pointed out.
“And the efforts ho mismo na sinasabi ng ating Pangulo na gawing mas madali at maiksi po ang mga proseso ay talagang ginawa po nila…para sa taong bayan,” he added.
The ARTA chief was accompanied by MMDA EDSA traffic czar Bong Nebrjia and Truth and Justice Coalition President Gab Go. They were welcomed by P/Lt. Col. Arnel Almine of PNP BOSS; P/Lt. Col. Geronimo Dimayuga, head of PNP IT Department; P/Lt. Col. Mary Ann Alisdan of Administrative and Resource Management Division; and, P/Maj. Gen. Rolando Hinanay of Civil Security Group.
PNP BOSS will be a big help to people who are seeking permits to own firearms, police clearance, and other similar services. Through this, the applicant can conveniently accomplish the steps in securing the requirements as it has booths for payment, picture-taking, written and neuro examination, and drug test, among others, just in one place.
After the inspection, DG Belgica met with P/BGen. Rommil Mitra, chief of the Firearms and Explosive Office (FEO) to discuss with him ways to further improve their online system for the transactions of their agency.
ARTA conducts regular and random inspection to all Business One-Stop-Shop to make sure they are compliant with Republic Act 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.
